On Sunday Oct. 14, 2012 Zachary Kenneth Burgess was blessed by Chris. It’s such a special day. We had a lot of family able to join us which means a lot. I just can’t get over how much our Heavenly Father knows and loves us. I was sure I didn’t want anymore children after Beckham. I had consistent thoughts that Beckham needed a little brother. I knew they weren’t my own because I was so done having kids. I was wrong. I guess Beckham did need a little brother and he was blessed with one. I am so thankful for our little surprise and can’t imagine our family without him. I’m so thankful that Chris is worthy to give Zachary a blessing and that our family could share in this special day for this super special little guy.

I wish I would have taken more pictures of all the family who shared in this day with us, but just didn’t.. oops.

Nine months ago we were shocked to learn we were expecting a little surprise addition to our family. I was scared, excited, nervous, basically just a bundle of emotions. Even though I didn’t have any real complications, it was not an easy pregnancy for me. Since Beckham was only 4 months old when I got pregnant with the little surprise bundle, the 2 pregnancies ran together.

On September 10, 2012 at 2:38 pm we welcomed our little surprise, Zachary Kenneth Burgess, into the world. He had the cord wrapped around his neck three times, but once that was removed he announced his appearance with a high pitched scream. He weighed in at 7 pounds and 3 ounces and was 20 inches long.
